How to Adjust & Care for Soji
Content: Care
  • Vacuum your chair as needed.
  • For additional cleaning, use a solution of lukewarm water and mild detergent (about 10%). Gently apply in a circular motion, then rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.

Materials

Choose from breathable mesh or leather. Soft and supportive mesh lets air pass through to naturally regulate body temperature. Leather is smooth, rich, and luxe, giving your home office a polished feel.

With 4.6" height adjustment and 2.5" seat depth adjustment, you’ll find just the right position for your height, size, and overall preference. To find the right adjustment, sit with your feet flat on the floor and your knees at a 90° angle. Maintain an elbow angle between 70° and 120° and try to keep your wrists straight.

Pretty great chair for big guys

I'm 6'2", 385lbs, and I find this chair's dimensions to be almost perfect for me. There's plenty of width in the seat for me to not feel squeezed in. The seat cushion feels soft to the touch, but strangely still firm and supportive enough to be comfortable to sit on. I wasn't sure how I would like the mesh seat back (I was worried it would have too much give), but it is also surprisingly comfortable and supportive. I don't feel the back frame at all, only the cushiony feel of the mesh.

I only have very minor nitpicks about this chair. As a bigger guy, obviously it's tough to find good quality chairs to sit in all day. I am coming from a Secret Lab Titan, which is absolutely not a good chair for many reasons, but it's seat depth is very accommodating for bigger guys. This Soji XL, while having an incomparably more comfortable seat than any gaming chair, has a maximum seat depth that is a little shallower than I'd like. Not a deal breaker for me, but this detail keeps my rating at a 4 out of 5. Another thing I'd love to see is a taller seat back with a headrest option. And finally, while the Soji XL's dimensions are generally very accommodating, one thing to keep in mind is that the arm risers are not adjustable laterally, only the armrest pads on top are. This is no issue for me, but someone with wider hips/thighs than me may find the arm risers squeezing into their thighs. Again - just something to keep in mind.

Overall, my first impressions of this chair are fantastic. It's obviously a very pricy splurge for home use, but if you can wait for a sale and can afford it, it's a solid investment in your daily, work from home comfort. I will update this review after some longer term use if I'm able.
