How Soji makes itself at home.

Soji makes comfort so simple.

Lower Back Comfort

With or without the optional lumbar support, Soji curves along your lower back to reduce strain and fatigue. The profile of the chair echoes the natural curves of your spine, and you’ll notice right away when you sit down that the support feels natural and easy.

Intuitive Adjustments

With 4.6" height adjustment and 2.5" seat depth adjustment, you’ll find just the right position for your height, size, and overall preference. To find the right adjustment, sit with your feet flat on the floor and your knees at a 90° angle. Maintain an elbow angle between 70° and 120° and try to keep your wrists straight.

Genuinely Sustainable

Soji is over 60% recyclable. That means the majority of the chair can be broken down to be recycled — and it’s designed for easy disassembly, so recycling is hassle free. Additionally, we don’t use PVC, heavy metals, or flame retardants to make any of our chairs.

GREENGUARD Gold® Certified

Soji is independently tested to be free from over 10,000 chemicals to help contribute to cleaner air in your home. It’s considered the most stringent standard for ensuring products are low in VOC emissions, which can lead to healthier indoor environments. Short for volatile organic compounds, VOCs are chemicals emitted as gasses into the air. The most common exposure is in our homes.

This Chair is really Night and Day compared to Cheaper Chairs

I bought this chair for my dad to replace his Bayside Furnishings Metrex IV Mesh Office Chair from Costco. At first, I was skeptical if a chair was really worth $600+, but I decided to give it a try. Although the delivery service could be better at providing me with a more accurate timeline, once the chair arrived, I was able to try it out for the first time. My first response to this chair was phenomenal, and it really made a big difference. There were no gaps from my back to the chair, which provided strong support. The chair is wide enough to sit however you like, has firm seating, options to control how far you want the back part to go, and a couple more that I am too lazy to list. My dad also loved it and had a similar reaction. So if you are looking to upgrade from a $100-$200 chair and want to enter the midrange budget range without being too expensive, I think this chair would be perfect for you. It is worth the investment, and your future will thank you.

**For reference, I am 5'8" and my dad is 5'4". Chair might not have enough space to Criss cross for 5'10+

Perfect WFH Office Chair

As someone who works from home, I wanted to find an office chair that would be comfortable enough for all-day use, but just as or more ergonomic and supportive as the Herman Miller Embody (but just not as tall and pricey). After some time Googling for top quality office chairs, I honestly think the Soji is much better, in terms of price, comfort, and support. With the Herman Miller Embody chair, my short legs dangle so I can't get the 90 degree angle you're supposed to have while sitting. I actually don't like the overall look of the Embody how firm it is (and I prefer firm, but it's just too firm), and how cheap some of the functionality is, especially for the price (armrest adjustments, cheap lumbar support, limiting recline, tilt tension is bit weird sometimes). In contrast, the Soji is a huge improvement over the Embody. It's overall great quality, has the perfect firmness and support, and height for me. I think the price of the Soji is what the Embody should be, for what it has and is capable of. With the Soji, I think the price is just right and is absolutely worth it. This chair seems like it'll last a long time, but if I were in need of another office chair, I'd get the Soji again. Maybe even in leather next time!

The greatest purchase I have ever made.

I have made a lot of critical, valuable purchases in my life. In considering which among these is the single greatest, I considered even stock option purchases that netted five-fold returns within a matter of months.

The chair still comes out on top.

Full disclosure: I have spent most of my waking life sitting in a chair, so a good chair is possibly something I can see disproportionate value from compared to other people. Nevertheless, if you want to see good value out of a chair purchase, look no further.

I have used this chair for over twenty hours in a single day, all the way to another six hours of use during a all-nighter, without even a hint of pain. I can say the same for no other chair, couch, bed, hammock, or resting contraption of any kind- and that’s not for a lack of trying. I have no other way to qualify the comfort of this chair. I have never gotten uncomfortable from sitting in it. Never.

I remember when I told my friends I spent $650 on a chair. They laughed, and I really can’t blame them. For something as boring as a chair, that amount of money sounds ridiculous. One year later, I can say, hands down, it is the best money I have ever spent. I was so satisfied that I forgot I had even paid for it until I remembered and came to write this review.

The only other thing I will say is that I am 5’ 9” and 160lbs. I guess if I was Shaquille O’ Neil then I may not like the chair.

Excellent with a minor drawback

All around excellent - aesthetic and appropriate for professional zoom meetings

Minor drawback: the seat cushion can be uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin but as long as you avoid direct contact it is fine
