Haworth Soji chair - Best chair for the Price? Maybe !!!!
I bought the Soji chair after reading reviews and watching a few YouTube videos. The chair is really nice and looks decent. It’s not the toughest or heaviest, though. It’s mostly made of plastic but is comfortable. I was planning to buy the Staples Hyken and saw it in-store. Having a headrest felt more comfortable while trying the Hyken, but I can confirm the Soji’s seat is much better.
This chair goes higher than most chairs I’ve seen. I’m 173 cm tall, and at its maximum height, my feet can’t touch the ground. Is this the best chair in its price segment? I’m not sure. You can probably find a better chair for less. Frankly, I feel it’s pricey. Yes, it’s comfortable and good-looking, but it’s not four times better than my cheap Costco chair.
Still, it’s decent. I have no complaints and am happy with the purchase. Most importantly, I’m very satisfied with the support. I started a chat twice to ask a few questions, and the responses were straightforward. The person on the other end seemed helpful and knowledgeable. This chair comes with a 12-year warranty. I’m not sure how things will be if I need support in 5–7 years, but for now, I’m confident in their customer service.
One last thing: this chair requires no assembly, so it comes in a big box. That seems unnecessary. It’s a waste of cardboard and packaging, plus it likely increases shipping costs. I suggest Haworth rethink the packaging.
