Just a heads up for anyone considering the solid wood option - the various choices (walnut, hickory etc) are only just stain colors. The actual wood material is a mystery (is it a hardwood? softwood?) and Haworth was unwilling to tell me. This is deceptive at best so I think they're taking advantage of unsuspecting consumers who think wood is wood. So FYI - if you order walnut, you will not be getting an actual walnut solid wood desk, just a mystery solid wood stained walnut color. At this price point, you can almost get a solid wood top in an actual hardwood species like walnut.
The actual finish of the solid wood desk left a lot to desired. Table top felt rough and grainy, almost like they forgot to sand with anything higher than 120 grit. My desktop also came with a dent on one of the edges. The packaging it came in was ok, but again, it came damaged so that doesn't give me confidence. I ended up having to return this order and will not be going with Haworth. I'm sure their laminate products are better (and cheaper!) but if you're looking for a solid wood option, I'd look elsewhere.
